Bottle This | My Tech Life

I was a whippersnapper 22 years in reverse, floppy eyed pupils dilated 5.25inches wide from my adventures with Commander Keen ;).  I spoke on bluetooth headsets in 2002 and people would inquire to me as to how am I speaking with no wires?  I watched movies on my Palm Zodiac and played Tony Hawk on my T-Mobile N-gage:). I create home PBX systems with Nerdvittles PIAF.
Recently I fed my child a tablet smothered in Jelly Beans and we're not talking of the pharmaceutical type.  No, we're speaking of the tablets who's glass screens are made from the poundings of frustrated gorillas.  Sometimes in life you just need to raise your hand and tell a story, do you see my hand?

Creatively Run This! | Run Club!

So yeah, I joined various run clubs over the past three weeks.  I intentionally convince myself that run club is of an elite echelon.  I tell people (in my manly voice) "Run club is like Fight club and just as exciting except there is no fighting and you get to talk about it!"

Allow me to explain a run club event through my eyes...  We all gathered inside a building who's walls snickered of warmth as opposed to the outside walls whistled and howled, even bit with a cold snap.  Our run club tribal leader announced of a four mile trail and six mile trail.  I obliged my lesser ambition and went with the four mile trail.  As I stood as a new face, among many of other new faces to my perspective. But of one brethen, I was inspired to challenge the run...

Something to ponder | Life

I love life, even with all the fortune and misfortune that is involved.  Heck, life is objective, subjective and relative all in the same sentence.  So I suppose the only relevant part is love...

Something to ponder | Sandy Hook Elementary

From the grave arise flowers of sunshine, fertilized by our tears...

That day the greatest of inspirations in this world were in their classrooms, unaware of the evil that came to disrupt.  We declare their memories, inspiration beyond the mortal constraints of this world!

Something to ponder | Objects

During the journey we encounter incomplete objects.  We are not to define the objects, but to encompass those objects in gumption to build upon discovery that will propel in times of opaqueness.  You never know, it could be the creation of an engine that inspires those involved...

Puzzle Post | Apple Maps

[Removing Google Maps and installing their own Apple Maps app as default has been a PR disaster for Apple, and a disaster for users of their products]  [I cannot look for a company by name much of the time, which really sucks when you want dinner. #Hungry ]

Puzzle Post | The Start

Hello Tunnelers,

This is something we can brag about in the future when other blogs follow suit, it happened here first!  I would like to present a new posting category.  I call it puzzle posts, what we do is create a title and then we grab user comments from the interwebs and select the appropriate ones to the title given. Posts created entirely from user comments!  This could call for some creative and entertaining posts :).  Let us know what you think of each Puzzle Post!

StartupDenver!

I believe the title above is a command or order, so that is what I am doing :).  Back on October 27th, 2012 I promised I would continue to report and attend startup events.  Well I have kept that promise and better yet I have added a +1 to that.  I would like to report to the faithful tunnel followers, in addition to writing for tunnelyou, I will also be writing and assisting with content creation of media at StartupDenver.com.  There is a great leader and founder in Jon Rossi over there!

Driven: The driver is instructed to drive until the terrain exists no more. To drive to agile destinations until the tires rub no more.

Desire:  Not constrained to the ether boundaries of this world.  Shall redefine definitions and evolve as needed, combat obstacles until victory.  Inspire those that are on the cusp of vision!

Now what are your definitions?

Write this | Leash, Chain and Tape Measure

The scraggly elder from the hollow oak tree hands you a sack of  three presumed items.  He states, " You will be able to leash and unleash skills for the future."  He goes on, " Also within, you will be able to chain your greatest fears with authority.  "Lastly he states, "With the last item you will be able to measure the progress of your journey.  You oblige the scraggly elder that has wisdom dripping from his beard (perhaps it is rain water with tree sap but you do not dare ask).  As you open the sack, the scraggly

A man of elder years, has turned his head and tilted his eye...  He observes a book sitting atop a tree branch.  This book, beaten but still full of story. Worn and wilted near reinforced areas, the integrity has not been altered.  The man crawls further upright with the assistance of his straw-laden cane, gives alternate blinks at the pages and consumes in awe...

So, yeah about that image above.  It is the result of gears grinding with gear grease for about two hours.
The blue and green stripes are still present, they are now located within the T and Y.

Bloggin' on a whim | Windows 8

Simplicity with Metro hair gel brought to the forefront, is what appeals to us right?  Well, hold onto your hog carriage there...

I would have liked to whisper some things into the ear of Steven Sinofsky before he was ousted from Microsoft.  Since he nor Steve Ballmer revealed these ideas to the tech industry, I will!  Make sure the straps on your boots are tight and lean, this could get interesting...

Discover this | Natural Gas Station

This was something new at my usual gasoline station.
I believe my gasoline powered vehicle was quite jealous...  I suppose the future is here eh?

It sure is one thing to hear and see about natural gas vehicles on TV or through politics, but a whole new realization when you see the technology pop up in your neighborhood.

Denver, Colorado here we are, welcome to the 21st century!

Tunnel.Edu | MIT OpenCourseware

Well hello there life-long learner!  I ran across, tripped and fell on this today. As TunnelYou, we want to give back and do our part in sharing of information and technology!  This is a tremendous resource and it is actual courseware with lecture videos, notes and all, as if you were sitting in class and all free!

Just click the image above to head on over to take your online courses (this is also located under the Tunnel.Edu tab, we will place other informative educational pieces in this section as well).  I am a by-product of online courses and training, so this fits right up my dimly lit alley.  I am personally taking the electrical engineering and computer science course.  Getting my hands, head, and body into the programming game.  Should be a blast!

So what courses are you going to be taking?  Tell us below!

Something to ponder | week 46

To climb to the top, one must begin at the bottom.  One may ask how high to climb?  A whisper interrupts "Are you at the top?"  You respond back "no."

Then a yell interjects, "Then the question you just asked is irrelevant!"  Whisper comes back and says "You should not be concerned with how high, as you should be preoccupied with your ascension..."

Bloggin' on whim | 2013-2014 Year(s) of ARM Cloud Computing

Hello All,

On a whim again... what a long week eh?  So what is ARM Cloud Computing do you ask?  It is simply a revolution of putting ARM mobile System on chips inside a laptop shell, like the fancy New Chromebook 2012.  In turn after you build one of these devices you pair it with your cloud service, i.e. Google Drive, Microsoft SkyDrive with boat loads of gigabytes of online storage.

Make sure your battery life of the device is 8 hours or greater to even make it tempting.  You have to entice and present a lifestyle change in mobile computing to individuals that are use to carrying their ac adapter cord like it's their favorite 2nd grade jump rope... ;)

Bloggin' on a whim | 20's into 30's

Hello All,

I sit here on the last day of being in my twenties and making my 30th birthday T-shirt with my hot iron and gear grease aka creativity :).  I am going to be honest with y'all ( yeah yeah I know you all but I am from Texas :) ) I have excreted the vision of a celebrating conqueror in these short three months leading up to this point...

Discover This | Eventbrite

Hello All,

I wanted to share this valuable tool that is available to all of us.  Find events, diversity and like minded specimens :).

Just click the image to explore, discover and open your world! Also available as an IPhone and Android app. This has been a resourceful tool for myself as a budding entrepreneur.  I attended this event today: Building Career Opportunities

To sum up the event in one sentence, digested by an eager mind:

Dissected the networked professional profile and then reconstructed it into professional branding!

Here was my reflection statement I left on the feedback form:

Thoroughly enjoyed and have valuable "takeouts" to share with everyone.  And everyone loves "takeout" food, especially when you share ;)

Superstorm Sandy

Embrace the silence, for the aftermath knows of the strength that is building.  Embrace Mankind, for we triumph through the worst of tragedies and devastation.  Embrace in unison, we shall never be divided.  Mankind continues to evolve bravery and gumption at every turn.  These innate seeds allow us to go forth!

God Bless Mankind!

Bloggin' on a whim | HDD, SSD, and Cloud Storage

No her name is not H or SS!

Hello All,

I would like to present a new subtitle to TunnelYou...(drum roll with gorillas smashing bananas, while protecting glass from scratches ;) ) Bloggin' on a whim.  When posting under this title, just think of it as slapstick, lipstick, and high-stick that they never taught you in 3rd grade gym class!  Oh and you will be able to recognize these series of posts by the hand-drawn face with the idea crown above, compliments of my right hand!

I would like to think of this subtitle as a relief valve from the pressure of gear grease in my head and the daily grind.  Not a bad practice if I do say so myself, perhaps I will have better customer validation after I perform a few operations ;).

Tunnel Cinemas

Hello All,

Welcome to a new section of  TunnelYou: Tunnel Cinemas.  This will be the section where we will share free-to-share indie films and local indie films here from Denver, Colorado.  Enjoy the first movie, which goes right along with the Halloween theme:  The Tunnel.  It is a spooky and good one.

If any of you are from the local Denver Metro area and have an event you would like to be broadcasted here, please reach out to us.

Denver Founders Network 10.23.2012

Hello All,

Been having a grand 'ole time during Denver Startup Week 2012.

https://docs.google.com/open?id=0BzVYKr99nwlJRzBZajJpaWswR3c
Ventured out to Denver Founders Network last night and it was very informative and I was able to record the audio on my Htc One S.  I apologize if it sounds far away (I was sitting in front the row), you just have to listen closely.  (Headphones recommended)

Here is a link (under image) for your offline enjoyment ;-)

Something to ponder | Week 43

We strive, hunger, and pain.  We persevere, hustle, and those that influence we acclaim.  Let us stand back from the bigger picture and focus on the section of the painting that is embossed from the canvas.

We realize those embossed sections are the areas that pain can be felt and where victory can be absorbed. We endured and overcame.  I encourage you to continue to paint and master your section of the canvas!

Denver Startup Weekend 2012 Recap

Hello Tunnelers,

The event was amazing, I was able to pitch my idea: ScoutView.

Our team disbanded, however in this turn of events I have been able to pursue new team members and continue the vision of ScoutView!

I loved everyone's energy there, networking and connections were made.

As a service to everyone involved, I recorded and uploaded all of the teams final pitches under the Denver Startup Weekend 2012 tab.

Something to ponder | Week 42

Attempt and attempt well… for your future endeavors rely upon it.  Other paths are standing by watching.  When you are tempted to call it quits… err on the side of not and venture down that path!

Denver.StartupWeekend 10.19.2012 | Is upon us.

Hello Fellow Tunnelers,

Sorry for the long delay between posts.  It has been a long week with preparation for this Denver StartupWeekend that starts tomorrow at 6pm MST.  I have had to fail fast and pivot on my original idea.  I am hoping the idea I bring to the table impacts our economy and the way we employee our workforce.

I wanted to inform you all, that I have added some slideshows in the Tunnel Gallery that will be updated in real time with images.  Please check them often, as I will share as much as possible.

Thank you all again for your support!

* Update:  Here is a scanned copy of the cards I created.  On the bottom left is the front and on the bottom right is the back

Contest This | Cabin in the Woods

Expiration is October 23rd at midnight. This is a great way to turn those Zombie Crawls into a film and a chance at 10K.  Click to view rules.  If only I was a great looking Zombie...

Something to ponder | Week 41

To story, perform the following: live, explore, and inspire!  To live in the moment: absorb the energy, gather and unite to form mitochondria of those that will not lay down to a lesser celebration!

Idea This | 003 SlideDisplay Technology

Fellow Tunnelers,

We could be on the trail of something hot with these Idea This postings.  Tell me what you think.  My gear grease was lubricating the gears again and this is what it produced:

Notebook with IR or capacitive touchscreen  that slides to a 30-45 degree angle, to create the optimal touch or drawing interface angle.
