Around a playground is joyous sound,
jump ropes go round and round.
nowhere in sight and nowhere onsite is a frown.

Monkey bar battles persist round after round.

Children play and some may tattle,
depending on the size of the rattle.

Boys and girls eschew the playground cooties.

Children go from wearing booties,
escaping cooties, treasure hunting and discovering booty.
Give ‘em fifteen years and they’ll treasure their finds and caress a fine booty.
