Gate Date

Metal bent out of place to protect a place.

Fencing an estate, everyone inside is in a fencing state.

Metal gates with vines,
these vines don’t auto rewind.

They’re there for the long haul,
creeping next door to the garden wall.

In the shape of grates,
trucks with doors agape pass through gates,
while offloading milk crates.

Milk crates with no expiration date, like a date set without a date.
No one to spoil or be late, as there’s no set date for the date.
